I have been painting for about 25 years, as life and time have allowed.
Over that time, I have come to think of my paintings as little mirrors that reflect my internal world, rather than my external appearance as a normal mirror would. They are representations of my memories, my fears, the things I love, and the world around me. I have learned that the view my paintings provide of my internal world is often most revealing when I use accident and randomness to generate the image, rather than any preconceived plan. By doing this, I make paintings that teach me, surprise me, and at their best, mystify me.
