Reckless is a bold reflection of a life lived out loud and without apology — a visual terrain shaped by personal history, cultural roots, and lived experience. Each work traces moments of struggle, growth, and transformation, often venturing into the uncomfortable spaces that challenge both artist and audience.
Raised on the wild, untamed coast of North Hokianga, GG Rowland is an emerging, self‑taught artist with a background in styling, product, and spatial design. Working under her creative alias GG Reckless, she explores themes of memory, rebellion, resilience, and transformation through bold colour, layered text, and intuitive, expressive forms.
More than storytelling, her work creates space for conversation. Reckless invites reflection, provokes emotion, and fosters connection.
