The sketch is done and I can see where this is one is going – so the process begins. I layer the colours forming a gradient then cut back into each colour with the next and then repeat this process. The layers build, sharp edges emerge and form develops. This goes on for days before I start working on the details, which get smaller and smaller and smaller. As I am applying the final touches, I decide to name her following the theme of places in the sky
